A beautiful plant is like having a friend around you and what could be a more thrilling experience than keeping a friend with you in your house? yes, you guessed it right; I am talking about those adorable indoor plants. Plants that require a low amount of light and water to rise are typically known as indoor plants.
Indoor plants can easily grow in our house and our balcony, it helps to beautify the place and also brings positive energy into the environment. They are for decorative purposes and are mainly found in places like residences & offices.
They can purify the air by controlling carbon dioxide in the atmosphere & provide oxygen to keep us healthy. These plants are grown generally in containers, pots, ceramic-made pots, etc. Nowadays, indoor gardening is tremendously increasing as people are more interested to beautify their homes with different types of plants.
Here are some of the best indoor plants for boosting oxygen levels and purifying the air.
Snake Plants
Snake Plants, also known as Sansevieria, with long, upright leaves and a unique appearance. Snake Plants can live for several years if provided with proper care and maintenance. It prefers bright, indirect light and can even tolerate some direct sunlight. They also grow well in shady corners and low-light areas of the home. Snake plant medicinal benefits include removing indoor air impurities and helping to filter out ammonia. This plant can remove up to 87% of these harmful toxins at night.
Peace Lily
The peace lily plant is well known for its air-purifying abilities; it's great at breaking down and neutralizing carbon monoxide and formaldehyde. Peace Lily is considered to be one of the lucky indoor plants which bring good fortune into home. Peace Lilies can live in low to bright, indirect sunlight. It is also a perfect go-to gift plant for your family and friends.
Spider Plants
Spider plant helps clean indoor air. Spider plants appreciate bright to moderate indirect sunlight. These plants are sensitive to chlorine in water, which can brown the leaf tips. Overwatering can cause root rot and ultimately kill the plant. Warm, humid conditions are ideal for spider plants. These plants like a moderate amount of feeding, roughly once in a month.
Jade Plants
Jade plants are very beautiful & its known for their thick, green leaves that look like jade stones. They are an attractive and easy to care, it can be grown both indoor and outdoor and can be kept in any climate. When it comes to watering jade plants, make sure the soil is allowed to dry out, over watering can cause root rot and other damage to the plant. This plant last for years and years and work as great stressbusters & air purifiers.
Syngonium Plants
Syngonium plants are not just decorative, they have the ability to clean the air you breathe and act as anti-pollutants. These plants can reduce components of indoor air pollution. The plant can grow up to three to six ft. They will grow faster and maintain their vibrant coloring and markings if grown in medium to bright indirect light. It likes slightly moist soil, so water only when the top two of the soil feel dry.
